Seattle Chapter's "Dying to Live Women’s Event"

Dying to Live Women’s Event

Pastor RJ & Lady Candace Rivers thank God and each Woman of God for participating in the 2011 AGQC, Inc. Seattle Chapter’s “Dying to Live” Women’s event on May 21, 2011. What a blessed time! The atmosphere was conducive allowing each person the opportunity to be open and transparent, share life experiences that hindered them from excelling in life or the ability to produce new fruits in their lives. Young ladies as young as 10 years old shared with the group. Prayer went forth, the dance ministry of Victory in Dance ushered in the spirit of God and the Holy Ghost prevailed. We planted seeds representing the things we commit to die to expect life to produce from each issued that died. To God be the glory for the calls that continue to come in testifying of the newness and peace within. The event was followed by dinner at a local facility.

Thank you to our prayer groups, supporters, sponsors: Bishop George and Dr. Jacqueline Stewart, and the AGQC Inc. (Birmingham, AL); Artistic Creations NW (Seattle, WA);
Pastor Cheryl Baker, Temple of Praise of the Apostolic Faith (Burien, WA); Pastor Joyce Hackett, Greater Light Church Ministries (Tukwila WA); Mrs. Louis Jones-McKinney (Seattle, WA); Mr.  & Mrs. Sylvester Thomas (Chino Hills, CA)! Please go to photos and check out the faith planter!!

The purpose of the American Gospel Quartet Convention is to re-establish Jesus as the foundation of our music. We further want to return to living what we sing about. Next, we want to learn more about the business of music and finally, we want to promote wholesome fellowship. The American Gospel Quartet Convention's purpose remains intact as attendance has grown from serving several hundred in 1993, over five thousand in 1997 and 1999.

The mission, as the Lord directed, is to call the gospel quarteters back to our foundation - Jesus Christ. In doing so, twenty conventioneers have been saved and/or baptized during the convention. We have also created a learning environment for quarteters interested in learning about the ins and outs of the music business. From this environment, much beneficial information has come forth, enhancing the careers of the attendees. And finally, the wholesome fellowship of The American Gospel Quartet Convention has been responsible for providing an opportunity for hundreds of lifelong relationships to be formed.

Through the unselfish support of The Advisory Board, Record Labels, Promoters, Announcers, Managers and The Gospel Quarteters and their supporters, The American Gospel Quartet Convention is making a tremendous impact on the quartet field. We have come a long way, but the wonderful journey will continue until every quarteter is on board.
